Serving Jesus by walking alongside people in need, equipping & encouraging them in discovering God's plan for their life.

HISTORY

The summer of 2016 was exceptionally HOT. While working at a downtown soup kitchen, we met a woman who was living in her car because she was unable to find a place to live, even though she was working. God prompted us to ‘stand in the gap’ so the woman would have a place to live. God then provided a house that needed some work, but was vacant and readily available. Within a few weeks we made repairs and painted the entire house. Only a few days after opening the doors to the first guest, there were women in all of the rooms along with a house supervisor!

Thus began our journey of walking alongside people in need. Friends and strangers heard about the home (we named it Trinity House) and asked to join us in walking alongside those in need. Since that time, guests have come and gone - some leaving successfully, and some refusing to make changes in their life.

Throughout this journey God has faithfully provided for all of our needs, exactly when needed. He grew the organization into what we call Valley LIGHT (Living In God’s Hope & Truth), and now we operate transitional homes for women and men, and a social enterprise called Valley Shine.

Our mission is to walk alongside people in need. We believe that lives will be transformed when we love our neighbor as Jesus Christ demonstrated to us, and then commanded us, as His followers. Our purpose is to show others the path to Living In God’s Hope & Truth. Through this process we utilize the core principles of sustainability, responsibility, and accountability.

Often when people hear our story, they congratulate us as if we have done something amazing. However, no soldier is congratulated for being obedient. We are simply doing as our Lord has asked us, realizing that all of our time, talents, and resources belong to God. He has earned our trust because He paid the price of love and sacrifice. God’s Son, Jesus Christ, died for each and every one of us. He rose again so that we too can be free from sin and death. It is simply our honor to accept His invitation to walk alongside others and show the path to life.

Will you accept the invitation?
